Developers seem to be taking their time with releasing iPhone 4-enhanced games, there have only been a handful so far, but Firemint has announced a new update for its Flight Control game that it says takes advantage of the new iPhone 4 and iOS 4's capabilities. The update is free if you already own the game, and the actual game is only $0.99 anyway, so well worth splashing out on to make your iPhone 4 look extra awesome.
Flight Control has already been a huge success, selling over 2 million copies and earning a whole bunch of awards and honors, including iPhone Game of the Year from Pocket Gamer, and this latest version is sure to tempt lots of brand new iPhone 4 owners.
The game's high-res graphics have now been optimised for the Retina display, and you can see how crisp it looks from these accompanying 960x640 screenshots from the updated version. The highly addictive gameplay casts players in the role of an air traffic controller in charge of an increasingly busy airport. Players have to touch aircraft and drag a path to the correct landing zone while avoiding collisions. The game features five different airports, as well as multiplayer gameplay over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
