MacRumors reports on a DigiTimes news story today that says that Apples manufacturing partner Foxconn is already producing vast quantities of iPhone 5s: 150,000 per day, to be exact. According to DigiTimes, lens maker Largan Precision, touch panel maker TPK Holding, reinforced glass maker G-Tech Optoelectronics and battery makers Simplo and Dynapack are all churning out their various contributory parts at maximum capacity as well. Although Pegatron is also due to be involved in the production process after signing a new deal with Apple, it is not expected to start shipping until early in the new year. DigiTimes adds that this means that Apple is on course to ship 5-6 million iPhone 5s in September, and over 4 million in total in Q4. As MacRumors notes, this report only refers to one iPhone, the iPhone 5, and not the rumoured iPhone 4S, so maybe this is an indication that Apple really will only be releasing one iPhone this fall.
