Free Video to IPhone 5 converter, anyone??

Does anyone know where I can find a free video converter for my iphone 5? I've tried afew but they don't seem to work. I end up with a MP4 file but itunes doesn't recognize it. I've also tried one that goes through the process but the end product is a black screen with no sound :s. Thankful of any help

I use ImToo Video Converter Ultimate. never had an issue with it. Converts for all sort of formats.

I use iskysoft video converter ultimate! Totally worth it and you can rip DVD right into iTunes, it has presets for iphone resolutions and a lot of choices, check it out!

I use Handbrake, both on Windows and Mac OS X.
