Gold-colored iPhone 5s selling for $1,800 on eBay

The gold fever has started and those that have been among the first to pre-order the gold iPhone 5s or have waited for days in lines can now make a nice profit.

We have recently shared with you the news that the gold-colored iPhone 5s was in high demand and Apple had to ask suppliers to increase production by a third to keep up. The gold version of the iPhone 5s sold out quicker than any other model in stores, pushing the estimated shipping time to October.

If you don’t want to wait that much, you can take a look on eBay, where there are already a few $1,500+ listings for it. And yes, there are actually people bidding. But the most expensive listing I've managed to found was the top of the line gold iPhone 5s - the 64 GB, off-contract version that having a buy-it-now price of $3,000.

This is so stupid..... People like this need to just die.. Especially the ones bidding on this. This makes others think it's okay to sell for this price... But I guess the whole supply and demand takes affect here
