It looks like Google is finally stepping its game up in the audio streaming business. The search engine giant announced its new Google Cast service to compete with Apple's AirPlay.
Google Cast is expected to work pretty much the same as its Apple counterpart, open an app, press a button, and stream it to a set of compatible speaks. The Verge reports that the first range of speakers, sound bars, and receivers will make there way into the U.S. market as soon as Spring 2015.
Sony, LG, and HEOS by Denon have announced that they will be releasing this first wave of technology along with implementation to Pandora, Rdio and NPR One. The speaker companies have also announced that the speakers won't only support Google Cast, but also will be compatible with Apple's AirPlay.
