Google Maps Adds Transit Times Widget and Night Mode

Google is back at it again, this time pushing out the latest update to its Google Maps application on iOS. Google Maps 4.18 is now available for download, adding features like a Travel Times widget and a new Night mode.

The Travel Times widget, which can be enabled in the Notification Center, shows the estimated time to locations like Home or Work. Dropping down the Notification Center's Today view, the widget can show time estimate for driving or transit, depending on what the user enabled in the settings.

Night mode seems pretty straightforward. A user can choose between the standard day view or night view, while also being able to set a custom color scheme in the settings.

Google Maps 4.18 can be found in the iTunes App Store for free.

I see some travel time info when I have an event coming up, or I'm leaving an event. Is that from Siri or from the iOS maps app?
