Google Voice search app does not talk back

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS6 and I just installed the new Google search app 2.5. The voice recognition is very good (South African Enflish) and responds with answers by displaying web page responses very well. However it DOES NOT READ THEM OUT ! All the utube reviews have it talking back. How do I activate talk back ? Or does this only work with the US version, and not here in South Africa ?

for voice talk back at the moment it only works if you set the language in the settings to US ENGLISH...
