You cannot use this adapter unless you remove your case. I have a very thin case, and it still prevents the adapter from connecting. Really wanted it for my car charger. Person at Apple had no info as to when the car chargers would be coming out.

Why wait for a specific car charger???
Just buy a cigarette lighter to USB charger (1 amp output) with no cable and then buy a USB to lightning cable. Shouldn't cost more than $30 total and you could have it tomorrow if you have an Apple store in a mall nearby.

Actually 2amp output is better. That will charge the iPhone faster.
No it doesn't. You could put a 100 amp charger on a iPhone and it would still only draw 1 amp. Tested a iPhone 4S with an iPad 3 charger and amp meter earlier this year to disprove that myth.
