GP JB 4.2.1 without connection

Hello,

I was wondering whether it is ok to Jailbreak an iphone 4 4.2.1 using a laptop without any internet connection, or is a connection required on the pc to run a JB?

Also once it is sucessfully JB'd can the iPhone be synced with iTunez as normal?

Help appreciated.

You only need internet if you need to update your iphone from a previous firmware to 4.2.1
and you also need internet to download the jailbreak
but once you have those 2 you should be fine

That's incorrect.

GP won't jailbreak your phone without a working internet connection, regardless of your iOS version. It's even listed in the Readme file as a prerequisite.

I tried to JB my colleague's phone (4.2.1) yesterday on a laptop without an internet connection and it didn't work. Must have tried 10 times to no avail.

Finally, I took the laptop (and the phone) home, hopped on my WiFi network at home, and cracked the damn thing within seconds on the first attempt (same laptop, same phone).
