For some time now, Microsoft has been trying to keep games like Halo, exclusive to its own operating systems. Well that changed on Thursday this week, when Microsoft decided to cave in and launch
Halo: Spartan Strike and
Halo: Spartan Assault on the App Store.
These two games were previously available on Xbox, PC, and Windows Phone, but now it looks like they'll be getting a little taste of the outside world.
Spartan Assault is the original Halo top-down shooter, playing through the Spartan Ops missions found in Halo 4. While in Spartan Strike, another top-down shooter, players will become a Spartan and battle Promethean enemies using a Warthog or the new Kestrel VTOL.
Since their original release, both games have proved to look graphically stunning and entertaining.
Halo: Spartan Strike and
Halo: Spartan Assault are now both available in the iTunes App Store for $5.99.
