Hardware or software

Hi all,my iphone shows capacity n/a, sftware n/a,serial#n/a in itunes.I can't restore it in dfu or rec. mode ;it goes so far and i get error -1 from itunes can't restore,can't hear any sound when i plug it to charge either.Can anyone save me and my iphone3g or 3gs?THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!
