Hello all, I have been using an I-Phone since it first came out and since then I started off with this basic stuff you refer to jailbreaking and "hacking" but I am here now hoping to take it a few steps further and am hoping you guys n' gals can help.
I've googled this a few times but have not found any information on it. I do not abide to the IOS and attempting to build a new OS for my I-Phone. The only complication is that I am worried that I will not be able to place calls if I modify it too much as I know I can not wipe the IOS or at least that is to my knowledge so if any one has any answers to the below questions it would be greatly appreciated and helpful.
I. What software/systems files are utilized for transmitting and receiving calls, SMS and other services that are connected to the carrier. (Eg. What files are used to connect to the network)
II. If the above is known are these file types manipulatable? (Eg. Can these files be used to replicate a new file as a new extension with the same capabilities, Can they be converted for use under a different structure or can you simply copy them out and wipe everything out and build it under the structure of the files? [I do not think this would one would be a yes as it seems unfeasible and a bit ridiculous to do this if you want to build a new structure or use a different architecture]
III. If the above is possible do you have insight on the best route to go about doing so.
Thanks in advanced.
