Help for getting to app store

When I try to go to the app store to update of to add an app, I get a message that I must update to iOS 4.2 but I can not find the program with the search function? How do I download the new OS? I have a iphone 4.

Yes, the only way to update your phone is via iTunes. However... if you're relying on a specific iOS version for your Unlock be sure and do a little research about preserving your Baseband before updating.
