Help please!!!! I want to restore iphone 3g to original condition.

I want to restore an iPhone 3g to its original condition. It is currently jailbroken version 4.2.1 (8C148) firmware 06.15.00.

iTunes wont let me restore this phone and I dont know why. I did not jailbreak this phone and I just want it back to how it was as new.

I am very inexperienced in these matters and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there software etc I can use without using iTunes?

The problem lies with the iPad baseband (06.15.00) you have installed....a custom firmware needs to be made to achieve an update... use jailbreaking tools like sn0wbreeze or redsn0w to build your custom firmware..Good luck
