Help with WhatsApp!

Anyone else have a problem using WhatsApp? I've a 4S and have been using this app for months however, for the Past few days its not working? When I click into it it just reads "connecting" across the top of the screen, but it doesn't connect no matter how long I wait! I've tried shutting the phone off and back on but it makes no difference? Help!

Whatsapp has issues while being used on 3G or EDGE network. While it will work perfect when connected to WiFi network!
