So I bought an iPhone 4S on ebay for use while deployed. However it seems I've been ripped off. The phone still had a passcode on it and is now locked. I can not connect it to iTunes to unlock it and need to find a way to jailbreak it or reset it to get it back to factory settings. I will have to jail break it anyway in order to use a roshan(afghan phone company) sim card. Just wandering if anyone has had to do this or knows how t fix it.

The only way to bypass a lockscreen passcode lock is to perform a DFU restore to the latest unjailbrekable iOS. Unless your 4S is on iOS 5.0, 5.0.1, or 5.1.1 with valid APTickets + SHSH Blobs on iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 or 5.1.1, you cannot restore and jailbreak.
