hideOTA badge is a Cydia tweak that will strictly just hide the update badge on your iOS 5.0 iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. The untethered Jailbreak that is yet to be released will support iOS 5.0 as far as we know, not iOS 5.0.1, 5.0.2, or 5.1(yet). So if you are stuck with a tethered Jailbreak currently and that red badge is grinding your gears, hideOTA badge is perfect for you. No need to have that badge if you're not going to update for awhile, you know you have an update... You can find this for free under the Big Boss repo in the Cydia Store.
