How do i install sms tones?

I want to install different SMS tones but every package I install and says use winterboard never works. I activate it through winterboard but when I go into sounds through settings the tones aren't there. What am I doing wrong?

Manually put tones onto your phone using SSH or via cable through iTunes or iExplorer/iFunBox. Make sure that the tone is profiled as a ringtone if you're using iTunes.

You can sync m4r through iTunes, I use Audacity to trim and convert

Hmmm why in Cydia does it say I can add SMS tones through winter board?
