How do I lock my Iphone in landscape

I am a new Iphone owner at this point auto rotate is flaky at best any suggestions

You can lock into portrait mode. Press the home button twice, scroll from left to right to the music controls, push the square with a curved arrow and that'll lock portrait mode.

The Key word here is Landscape, Is there a way to lock my phone in landscape

No there is not, but it won't rotate back to portrait of it is upside down. Bear this in mind when you are holding it, and you can easily stop it rotating.
