How to change YouTube sign?

Hello a couple of months ago I saw my cousin who had somehow changed the YouTube icon from the old TV screen to the YouTube symbol. I asked him how and his answer I can't remember but I tried it and it wasn't a link to the online version. Can you explain how or am I misinformed? Thank you.

Chances are he had some kind of theme from cydia (If he was even jailbroke) or he had the YouTube WebApp.

Go to "m.youtube.com" without quotes, tap the little box and arrow on the bottom, then tap "Add to Home Screen" Perhaps that is the icon you were looking for.

If you are jail broken and have ifile, you can change any icon to anything...no theme required. See my attached screenshot and take note of the phone and music icons especially.
