How to delete a contact group

I had an App that created a contact group that I don't want anymore.
I deleted the app but it's contact group is still there.
I've been through everything I can think of on the phone and my Itunes while connected to the phone.
Anybody know how to delete an unwanted group from contacts?

Maybe you should re-install the app and delete the group from the app, and then delete the app again. Might work?
