how to download ios 6 using internet explorer

I have a bad net connection so most of the times when i try to download my ios update i get disconnected and i have start the download again from the beginning but is there any to download my update without using my iphone or itunes.......

Absolutely... you can download it directly from Apple's servers. What model iPhone do you have? And... you'll need to use a browser other than IE when downloading the IPSW. Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Etc..... anything but IE.

So once the ipsw file is downloaded, can I install the new os without an Internet connection? Does apple need to verify the installation.
