How to read lengthwise

Hi there..new here. This is a silly question but it driving me nuts. How do I read my website news/view videos lengthwise? My old Samsung would turn lengthwise when I rotated it, but my new iphone 4 doesn't seem to. I have to be doing something wrong. Help anyone??

Double-click your "Home" button, swipe from L-R, and tap the orientation button on the screen. There you can unlock/lock orientation.
