How to sync contacts from iPhone to iPad?

How?? Without also syncing programs and icon layouts.

Easiest way is to locate one of your iphone backups which are saved inside your systeme, copy the backup to your desktop and use the software iphone backup extractor to extract the contacts from that backup. Name the contacts your've just extrat to any name you want like ZZZ and drag and drop it to your iPad backuped folder created by itunes. Next connect your ipad to itunes and restore the ZZZ backup file into the ipad.
