Sometimes when I lay on my bed browsing the web , it's very annoying that my iPhone screen is automatically rotated.

Is there any easy way to turn it on and off?

Doubleclick on the Home button. Then, swipe right to reveal from the left. There is a portrait orientation lock icon. Press it to lock.

The annoying thing (well, at least to me) is that it locks the iPhone in the portrait mode. So, you can't lock it in landscape mode.

But, you can lock it...

Thank you Mickey. Do more Google search. It looks like you have to jailbreak your phone to use an app like iNoRotate to do landscape lock.

Really hope Apple will make this feature in the next update of iOS

Surprised we can't do it with the iPhone. It's been a feature on the iPad for ages

Sorry, I meant landscape lock. You can lock an iPad in landscape mode
