I am able to stream to iPhone X until I plug in Apple Lightening to Digital AV Adapter, then it just buffers.

We have a seasonal camping site in a place where there is no internet, cable or local stations to pick up channels off of an antennae. Our iPhones have weak reception but it's enough to stream our YouTubeTV channel. I bought an Apple Lightening to Digital AV Adapter. While streaming on my phone, as soon as I plug in the adapter, my phone starts buffering. The image from the phone will appear on the TV as the buffering is occurring, but it never plays. My phone is an iPhone X. Same thing happens with my wife's iPhone X. Same service plan (AT&T).

Any ideas or hep would be appreciated.
