I guess I'm screwed?

A month and a half ago I dropped my Iphone in the toilet, it stopped working so I put it in rice and had it drying on top of the DVD player. It worked find after like 12 hours in that. Today, it was working fine and suddenly went black screen. Now it wont charge or anything. What should I do now? I'm screwed.

I had the same problem. The good news, if there is any, is that even being totally up front about it I got 170.00 for it on ebay.

This happens all too often. Phone hits the toilet, or any kind of water, and after a trip through the rice bowl it's working just fine. Only to stop working a short time later. The moisture starts oxidation on the internal parts that cannot be reversed. Some get lucky and this doesn't cause any issues... but most end up w/ a phone that's eventually inoperable. Sorry... :-(

Might be worth contacting Apple to see how much a repair/replacement would cost. Otherwise, eBay could be your best bet. If the small stickers in the headphone jack/dock port are pink then Apple will know it's been water damaged.
