i just bought this iphone 4 for my son yesterday i have made him up a apple id but when i go to app store to update some apps it brings up the old owners id .,,,,,,,i have already changed all the information in the phone ,,,,according to app store he is signed in but like i said when you update it brings up the old owners id cant update since we dont know the password. ,,,i also have a feeling the phone is jailbroke ,,,how would i tell if it was i did a ios update to ios6

In the AppStore app, go to Featured, and on the very bottom, sign out of the Apple ID and enter your credentials.

i have already did that it accepts all info but when i go update with the right info it keeps asking me for the password from the previous ownerso it wont let me download

You'll have to delete all the apps since they're not signed under your Apple ID
