In TinyUmbrella Windows version, there is an Enter Recovery option on top gets you in DFU.

Any way, found out that seperating the logic board from the battery has a hard boot effect. That allowed the pc to recognize the 3g. Still no power button function.

I can't get redsnow past the "Waiting to reboot" screen.

Tiny Umbrella cannot put a device in DFU mode.
