Your carrier may be your best bet. I returned my iPhone4 to Verizon and they gave me a $100 store credit. One of the online electronics buy back sites was only going to give me $80.

Verizon only gave me $67 for my iPhone 4 back in September. There was nothing wrong with it. I think they cheated me.

Bringing it to an authorized dealer that offers a trade-in is the best, such as Bestbuy, Walmart and other participating dealers. You may not get the direct trade-in for a $1 or free 5C, but it would shave off a little of what it would cost on a 2-year contract at your local carrier.
