MacRumors has a post today on Apples newly released iBooks update that has just arrived in the app store. The new Collections feature has already been widely telegraphed in the press, so its nice to see it actually up and running. Basically it just enables you to organise your books and PDFs into personal collections, a bit like the iBooks version of Folders. You can switch between collections by swiping left or right. The update also adds enhanced support for illustrated books. Apple says that more than 100 illustrated books have been added to the App Store today, including childrens books, photography books and cookbooks. Another very useful feature included in the update is the ability to print PDF documents and your iBook notes via AirPrint. More words per page are also now fitted onto each page due to the automatic hyphenation of text.
If you havent already downloaded iBooks, you can click here to do so: iBooks for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store
