Icloud 3g?

His could be a stupid question. Does iCloud work through using 3G or just wi fi

it will only do backups when plugged in and connected to a wifi network with the screen off.


you can go initiate a backup manually but that will only work on wifi. If your not connected to a wifi network the button is greyed out.

iCloud works for some things. When on 3G and I go to the App Store on the phone and go to "Update" I see a "Purchased" button. It lists all apps bought under my Apple ID and I can download any of them to my new phone which I've not restored with my apps yet.
