Do you remember Apple introduced a new shopping application that allows costumers to find stores closer to home and have the items wrapped and ready awaiting their arrival? Well, now Apple takes it a little further, so next time you head out to your local Apple Store to pick up whatever you ordered, the shop employees will be able to find you a little faster, therefore saving you some precious time.

The story goes like this. The new software which Apple Store employees run on their iPod touch displays the entire floor plan of the store. All eager costumers have to do is press a button on one of the iPads that have been planted next to all major products. So once activated, the station will glow bright red on the employee’s iPod so they can immediately go over there and check out who needs the help.

But the neatest trick concerning this system is that, if you chose to order something from your iPhone, using the app, and then head out to the store to pick up your order, shop workers will be alerted of your arrival the minute you step in. How will that happen? Well it’s all the app’s doing. The costumer’s iOS device uses GPS to locate you and sends alerts when you enter the store. Once the worker receives an alert, their iPod touch will display the location of the costumer on the store map. Thus the buyer can be handed the goods as soon as possible. If there’s any payment required, the iPod’s case has a built in credit card reader and works overtime thanks to an extending battery life mode.

Apple will always continue to innovate the retail space, brining forth fresh original solution to make the experience of shopping fun and stress free.
