I'm having trouble syncing my facebook friends to my contacts.

I've searched and searched and I couldn't find the solution. I've done the steps where I've downloaded the Facebook app, and I've hit the right arrow on friends and I've turned syncing on. However, my contact list doesn't add any of my Facebook friends. I've tried steps such as reinstalling the application and restarting my phone, no luck. I am using an iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1. Is anyone else having this issue, or have a solution? Thanks in advance.

I can add a little more detail. When I tell my phone to sync the contacts, they're not added to my contacts even after waiting hours. This is a really frustrating problem I would greatly appreciate help.
