Image size for wallpaper

Greetings,

I currently have some medieval pics that I would like to set as wallpaper on my phone. However, the images n their current form are a bit small and as a result, they look a bit blurred when I set them as wallpaper. What is the standard size image that will fir the screen perfectly? I have Photoshop and I can alter the size of the images to fit, but rather than keep going back and forth to see if I got it right, I was hoping someone here might be able to give me the proper dimensions. Thanks.

The iPhone 4 and 4S have a screen resolution of 960x640, the iPhone 5 has a screen resolution of 1136x640. For maximum sharpness your wallpaper photos should have at least this resolution.
