Hey, just got the iPhone 4S.

When sending an iMessage to other iPhone users, it's displaying my email address (Guessing the one linked to my Apple Store account).

Is there anyway I can stop this happening, as I don't want people knowing that eMail address?

Bad on Apples part for even letting it happen in the first place to be honest, it's a personal information e.t.c and the only way it could have been obtained would be through the App Store.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance,

Lee.

Open up the Settings app, scroll down and tap "Messages." tap "Receive at" and then "Caller ID." This will allow you to change the default ID for iMessage to your phone number.

I though they'd release the ''iMessage'' only for the iPhone 5.

Hey, when I tap "Receive at", I have this;

Apple ID: *My email*

You can be reached for messages at:
Email: *My email*
Add Another Email...

Nope, nothing like that at-all.
It's really annoying me tbh.
Also (after the fix) my full battery lasts about 2 hours. :| Hardly being used! :@

Stupid idea to get the iPhone tbh.
