International Texting

I have a friend in the UK who i am trying to text but it wont go through when i attempt to send it, why is this and how can i resolve it?

Texting internationally requires that you type in 011, the country code, then the number. Or use iMessages

Have you asked your carrier if international messaging is enabled??

Hi there, try +44 and then the 10 digit number. From UK to here it should be +1 and then your 10 digit number.

If it still doesn't go through ask your provider if you have a block on international messaging by default.

So if its from the us to the uk its +44 then the 10 digit number?

If you are calling the UK, you have to drop the leading 0 (zero) from the number, so area code 01555 (Lanark) becomes +44 1555 or 011 44 1555 followed by the subscribers number.

The + sign replaces your international access code, which varies from country to country. 011 in the US and Canada, 00 in the UK, 07 in Spain etc. The + will work universally.
