Hi guys, although my XS max is running fast with internet as expected, I still wonder. I have 300 MBPS from my provider. Now, my two years old iPad Pro is pulling between 250-290 mbps download on a speed test. My XS max is only doing 40 mbps download. Why such a big difference? thank you

Turn off your cellular and test your iPhone again, you may be running off your cellular data and not your wifi (or vice versa)
Make sure you are on the 5ghz band, as it tends to be much faster then the 2ghz band. Also make sure your router is dual band 2ghz and 5ghz. Here are a couple pics showing the difference.
First pic is on 2ghz band, second on the 5ghz band. Also remember that 5ghz band doesn’t work as well as 2ghz band when obstructions are in the way. I am located about 15-20ft from my router in a bedroom with a wall between me and the router. I still get way faster speed on the 5ghz band but once I go a little further away the speed diminishes pretty fast. Hope this helps and good day.
