The iPhone 6s will get iOS 11. The update will be available on September 19. There are two ways to update your device:
Use iTunes on your computer, or go to Settings - General - Software Update.

Theres no need to update to the public release version of iOS 11 as the iOS 11 GM has the same build number as the public release version, meaning there’s no difference between the two.

Checking in, iOS 11 runs great on my 6s. Updating was simple and the new flip from the bottom menu is nice.
