IOS 11 with iP6S will not save reminders

Try to make reminder. Close app and re-open, reminder is gone. I do not use iCloud and did not before. Any ideas.

Have done much research but can't find a definitive answer.

So you saved the reminder, but it disappeared?

Did you try the usual fixes:
Force closing the app, and restarting your iPhone?
Or is there by any chance a backup with that reminder included? If so, restore from that backup to retrieve the reminder.

Otherwise it won’t be possible to get it back.

Was this happening just once, or every time you create a new reminder?

All usual fixes attempted. No reminders are saved. I am really talking about when creating new ones.
