iOS 5.0.1 (update failed)

ok, i have i4 (4.3.3) [factory unlocked]
i tried to update iOS (5.0.1), as directed by a friend here....
1. downloaded ipsw from limera1c.net
2. DFU mode ( i know difference b/w DFU n recovery mode)
3. shift + restore n opened ipsw
OK, now itunes asks for approval from apple server n phone is being ready for update n then bamm... error, unable to restore....
tried this a dozen times n error code keeps changing....
what am i doing wrong...??!

im running admin, itunes 10.5.2 (lateat)
n rest is same as u told me....!!!

Try just plugging your phone into iTunes and clicking check for updates.

Try just plugging your phone into iTunes and clicking check for updates.

Tried that as well, it goes upto 99% n then disconnect from server....!!

I even tried "erase all contents and settings" as it was mentioned in a forum it took all night n all my battery but the status bar never showed even 0.1% completion.....

Reinstall iTunes but this time you need to install atleast version 10.5. Then try to update your phone once more...
