9to5 Mac reports today that it looks like Apple has already sent out iOS 5-enabled devices to developers, with developer Future Tap revealing the following nugget of information via Twitter about experiencing their first iOS 5 crash:
Just received the first iOS 5.0 crash report. MKUserLocationBreadCrumb sounds interesting.
9to5 Mac notes that this is a clear indication that Apple is now testing iOS 5.0 using apps from the iOS App Store. According to 9to5 Mac, the crash is related to the iOS maps and location features, and they speculate that Apple has possibly changed various map and location APIs in iOS 5, which could have been the reason for the crash as the changes might have caused conflicts with map-based applications in the current version of iOS.
Apple is expected to launch iOS 5 at its World Wide Developers Conference in June, ready for release in September with the launch of the iPhone 5.
