iOS 5 upgrade attempt frustrating!

Waited for 3 hours for iOS 5 to download and at the end, was told by iTunes that the file was corrupt. This was after an attempt to upgrade my iPad 2 iOS resulted in the device being bricked. I can't take it anymore! :-(

When I tried at home with an Ethernet connection it kept timing out. Through wifi however it was great. I am having same Same problem updating my girlfriends phone so I have to try the same way
