QUESTION:
Being the "Apple addict" that I am, I gave in to my sickness on Saturday, and pre-ordered the new iPhone 4S. The lady at AT&T said she had to upgrade my unlimited data plan to the new 4G plan. HOWEVER, when I went into the AT&T store later that afternoon and questioned this, they looked at me like I had 5 heads, they had no clue about the 4G! So, I left and placed a call to Apple, who said although the phone is NOT 4G it will have the capabilities. Please help, because I'm SUPER confused now.

I don't know why she told you that but you should definitely call AT&T back and tell them to keep your plan the same. The girl you spoke to is probably confused. It's in the news that AT&T wants to add the 4g signal to their iPhone it supposedly runs hspa.

It's a marketing. Trick AT&T is trying to pull, the 4s will be faster by almost double on AT&T network especially when near hspa+, they are working a deal with apple so the 4s will display 4g on status bar even though technically by full specs it will not be
