It is quite odd that Apple did not offer any update to those of us who have been struggling with wifi connectivity issues and wifi dropping off on the iPhone 4s? Have they now decided that only their newest devices deserve support? while others should not be treated or get any help ??
I can tell you that, based upon my experience, as well as reading the forums, there are few of us out there that really would like to see this most generous support extended to all Apple end-users.

6.02 fixes all the wifi buggs .. and who ever want to be out of buggs should get an iphone 5 :D thats the only solution found in the apple world !!!!

I don't think 6.0.1 or 6.0 on the pre-A5s has that many bugs and such. I haven't had any colleagues coming to me about connectivity issue for a while now since we've upgraded to the 4S instead of the 4, and most of them are on iOS 6. It's probably not as evident as the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. As for support, Apple doesn't have to neglect the older devices for them to phase out, the carriers can probably do that themselves. Remember that the 4S and below does not support LTE, and most carriers offer 4G/LTE service, so eventually the 4S will phase out from lack of carrier support, not really Apple support. But hey, the 4S is probably going to be the next 3GS. Both are 'perfected' in a sense within their own thresholds, and both are the hottest iPhones out there. We might see the phase out of the 3GS by iOS 7 with the 5S or the 6, but I think the 4S might last until iOS 8 assuming iOS 6 and 7 only reach up to X.1.1 like iOS 5.

In addition to Jon's very detailed... and lenghtly... explanation above (LOL!!), the 6.0.2 push was made to simply work on bugs that affected the iP5 & iPad Mini. Why push it for ALL iDevices if it's absolutely unnecessary?

then how can we fix the wifi connectivity issue.. wifi dropping off ? even in the sleep mode the phone turns from wifi to 3g !!!!!!!

iOS basically shuts off Wifi for just about every device when put into sleep (unless you've tweaked it). You'll have to manually go into the core and edit that portion to act like data in order for Wifi to be kept on during standby. Why it's set like that, I'm not entirely sure. It might be that it takes up more power to maintain a Wifi connection than it is to periodically fetch using data.

BUT when my phone turns to 3g in the sleep mode..

it cost me more mb's by using my 3g data plan while the wifi is for free
it also cost me battery power since 3g use more battery that wifi
