IOS5 and Pioneer double din headunits with Ipod App mode function?

Does anyone have a Pioneer double din unit with Ipod App integration working correctly with IOS5?
I can get it working right if I open the App mode on the unit with an older IOS model and then plug in an IOS5 model, but once I shut the car off I have to toggle again for App mode to work.

Pioneer swears there is no compatibility issues other than the Nav models, but I am seeing otherwise.
Anyone notice anything like this?

My exact unit is a P4300DVD.
I used a 4S,4 and Ipod touch and Ipod nano for testing. I have to start App mode with the ipods and then switch to Iphone which is annoying.

On pioneers web site they have a message stating they are aware of ios5 issues and are working to correct them

That is only related to the AVIC/Nav units though. I even called to confirm if any other units were associated and they said no. The tech said his boss has the same setup and just needed to wipe the phone first. I didnt think that was correct since both are new phones, but I did anyway.
Only way I can get App mode to work is to toggle it first with a pre IOS5 device. After that it works fine.

I got them to realize there is issues with other units now. I had them test on a unit they had there and they saw what i was reffering to. The other app enabled units are being looked into now too

I'm having the same issue with my AVH-P4000DVD as well. At least I can still play music off of my iPhone 4 but the track info is jacked up. I tested with another iPhone 4 running iOS 4 and it worked as mine did in the past. If I find out anything more about this issue I will post here.

I really hope Pioneer fixes this and quick. I have been buying Pioneer forever and really don't want to have to replace my whole setup.
