IP 4, 4.0.2 no Internet, no MMS

Dear all,
yesterday I bought an iPhone 4, jailbroken with 4.0.2 software. As far as I can learn from some settings, it was registered in Vodafone. I live in a country where there is no Vodafone. My iPhone cannot connect with the Internet (unless it is connected by wi-fi), it says that my mobile network couldn't be activated. And that the page can't be open because there is no internet connection. What the hell is wrong with it? Moreover, I can't expand the second menu in Settings/General/Network. I have only 3G, mobile network data, roaming, internet modem settings, VPN and Wi-Fi. Please, help!

do you have a 3g plan with your carrier? as for the mms the settings automatically updates when your with an official iphone carrier, if your not then you should get in touch with your carrier and ask them for the settings.
