Im new to your forum and have had several iphones in the past. I have never jailbroken an iphone but I don't think that will be an issue if that's what I need to do. Basically I have an old iphone 3g that is no longer activated and just laying around the house that I want to setup as an ipod touch essentially, for my son. Basically the phone is in a virgin state and works fine as an ipod. We all know that Apple is no longer supporting version upgrade on the 3g to 4.3.3 but if I don't plan to ever use it as a phone is there anyway to upgrade it to 4.3.3? The reason I ask is because with all the suff I already have in my itunes (computer that is) I would like to allow him access to the Home Share now available in 4.3.3 . This is my problem and would greatly appreciate your help. I side note if the solution is to jailbreak my iphone, will you still be able to access the apple apps store and itunes to purchase and download?
