Iphone 3g help

Ok bit of a newbie to all this but was going quite well until now, I have got a 3g running on 4.2.1 and after many attempts and many more failures I finally managed to jailbreak using redsn0w 6b2. Now it appears to have worked and installed cydia but when i try and launch it nothing happens it just closes down again. any thoughts??

Restore and use limera1n or greenpois0n to jailbreak.

ok thanks, will give that a try. when i try to restore with itunes though it keeps coming up with error unable to perform restore?

ok managed to restore but greenpois0n doesn't support 3g and i cannot find a link for limera1n so am guessing that doesn't either?

Go to http://www.limera1n.com
If that doesn't work go to http://www.jailbreakme.com on your phone's Safari browser, and see if that is supported on the 3GS with firmware 4.2.1.
If neither of those work try using the latest redsn0w beta I think it is b4.
