Iphone 3gs software update

I have an Iphone 3gs running on IOS 4.3.1 with bb 06.15.00?
I want to update to IOS 5 but I don't know if do that can I unlock it with Ultrasn0w because the bb that comes with IOS 5 is 05.16.05 (if i'm not wrong)?
